Server reboot to resolve IPMI issue (Resolved)

  • An issue was identified with the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) for lynx.evehost.net. In order to resolve the issue, a reboot of this server will be required. We estimate there will be up to 5 minutes downtime during this maintenance window. We sincerely apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Update: This work was successfully completed at 05:20 this morning with a total of 2 minutes downtime.

    Update @ 11/09/2013 18:42: The earlier issues with the client portal have now been resolved. The issue was caused by a security update, which was causing a bug in certain web browsers. We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

  • We have been notified by our datacentre that there are on-going connectivity issues. Customers on our web hosting platform may experience a higher response time, or connectivity issues. Our datacentre engineers are urgently working on the issue.


    Updated 9th September @ 16:49GMT - This issue has now been resolved. The issue was caused by a faulty uplink, which created connectivity issues from certain locations.

Connection maintenance at our data centre (Resolved)

  • Our data centre engineering staff will shortly conduct maintenance on the AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) connections at the EvoSwitch datacenter in Haarlem, The Netherlands. The engineers will upgrade this circuit to a higher capacity to allow for further network growth in upcoming months. A second AMS-IX connection at Telecity 2 in Amsterdam will be fully operational during the maintenance and will be able to take over all traffic. There should only be a very short interruption while alternate routing paths are chosen at the beginning and the end of the maintenance. We expect no noticeable impact on our web hosting customers.

    The maintenance will take place between 03:30 and 05:30 GMT on the 21st of August 2012. We have planned the maintenance window for 2 hours, however the actual maintenance should not exceed half an hour. Please contact EVEHost Support if you have any questions.
